While I am new to dividend investing, the index funds that I’ve held for many years certainly pay dividends and those have been reinvested into my shares.
However, for purposes of this site, the dividend income reports shared below are focused only on the equities that I’m holding in my taxable account that I have deemed to be part of the Divvy Dad Portfolio (DDP).
As such, you will see there is not a long history here as I’ve just established the DDP in May 2018. There are a couple of stocks that I’ve included that were being held in my account prior to shifting the focus to dividend paying companies, and those make up most of what you see right now.
2018 Dividend Income
For 2019, I am going to adjust things a little bit and provide a more detailed view of the dividend income by account source.
There will be three different account sources included: 1) Brokerage account; 2) Rollover IRA focused on DGI; and 3) Retirement accounts invested in index funds.
